The Centre has distributed over seven Lakh Post-Matric Scholarships under the Minority scholarship scheme during last fiscal. According to an official release, over 53 percent of the Scholarships have been given to girl students. It is against the target of over 5 lakh scholarships. The Post-Matric Scholarships are provided to students belonging to the minority communities for studies from class Eleventh to Ph.D. level.
