In Uttarakhand, Girl students can now travel free in Uttarakhand State Transport Corporation buses within the state. According to officials the move will benefit nearly 10 lakh girl students and it will cost Rs 20 crore annually to the state exchequer. AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister of the state has announced the scheme on the foundation day of the state on the ninth of this month and the Government order was issued day before yesterday.
