Sports Minister M S Gill today inspected the under-construction Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, the main venue for this year's Commonwealth Games. The Sports Ministry said in a statement said he directed the engineers to ensure that the labour at work is treated properly. During his visit, the CPWD officers briefed the Sports Minister about the status of ongoing civil and electrical works in the complex comprising the main stadium, Weightlifting and Lawn bowling arenas . The stadium will host both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games.
