Union Health and family Welfare Minister has said that National Rural Health Mission has been extended for 5 years because of its success. Addressing the 32nd convocation of PGI, Chandigarh today Ghula Nabi Azad said that there is also a plan for introducing National Urban Health Mission.

The Minister informed that under the mission mode, during 2005-12, over 1.57 lakh personnel have been added to the health system and infrastructure has been strengthened.
