Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir stroked their way to commanding centuries as India scored 417 for the loss of two wickets against Sri Lanka on the opening day of the second cricket test at Kanpur. At stump on Tuesday, Rahul Dravid was not out on 85 and Sachin Tendulkar was batting on 20. Sehwag made 131 and Gambhir 167. For Sri Lanka Muttiah Muralitharan claimed both wickets. Earlier, in the morning India won the toss and elected to bat first. India made couple of changes from the last test in Ahmedabad bringing in S Sreeshant and left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha in place of Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra.Sri Lanka went in with three spinners with Ajantha Mendis coming back into the side to join Rangana Herath and Muttiah Murlitharan, while injured Dammika Prasad had to miss out.
