Advisor to the Prime Minister on Public Information and Innovation, Sam Pitroda today said that the education system should be equipped with the latest technology to make it more accessible and economical.
Addressing a seminar on Higher Education in New Delhi, Mr. Pitroda said that each education institute in the country should be assigned with an internet protocol address to make the system more transparent.
He added that innovative models of education should be encouraged to take it to the most marginalized section of the society.
He also urged the government to get pending education bills passed at the earliest. These bills he said will play a significant role in upgrading the education infrastructure of the country.
