In Football, Germany and Norway have stormed into the quarter-finals of the Women's FIFA World Cup being held in France.

In the Round-of-16 matches last night, while Germany defeated Nigeria, three-nil, Norway beat Australia, 4-1 on penalties after the score was 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

In today's pre-quarterfinal matches, England will play Cameroon at Valenciennes at 8:30 PM, while France will meet Brazil at Le Havre at 12:30 AM.

Defending champions US taking on Spain; Sweden facing Canada; Italy playing China, and the Netherlands clashing with Japan are other pre-quarterfinal fixtures.
