The Georgian nationals will be allowed to visit countries of the European Union for a period of up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa starting from 28th of this month. The Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement yesterday.<br/><br/>On the 27th of last month, the Council of the European Union adopted the regulation on visa liberalization for Georgia. Georgia had been striving for visa liberalization with the 28-nation bloc for years.<br/><br/>In March last year, the European Commission issued a proposal to waive visas for the Georgians.
