The West Bengal Industries Ministers Mr. Nirupam Sen has said that for the Industrialisation of the state, a genuine political desire and consensus of opinion between political parties is essential. He said that because of the departure of the TATAS a negative image about Industrialistion in the state has been created within the country and abroad Mr. Sen was replying to a questions on the plan of the state Government about the Singur land in the West Bengal Assembly today. The question was raised by the Congress Legislative party leader Dr. Manas Bhuiya.It may be recalled that Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) had backed out from a proposal to setup a power plant on the land stating unsuitability. Another proposal of the railways to setup wagon building facility was also canceled because of legal hitches.
