The General who commanded American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, has retired from the US Army. David Petraeus will become new Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Gen. Petraeus is credited in Washington as having pulled Iraq back from the edge of catastrophe and leading an unpopular war in Afghanistan.
