General Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff visited Siachen yesterday and reviewed the security situation. <br/><br/>PRO Defence Col N.N.Joshi told AIR today that the Army Chief visited the sites where army soldiers lost their lives in the recent avalanches and interacted with the soldiers serving there. <br/><br/>The Army General also commended the troops for their outstanding work in the difficult conditions at Siachen. He exhorted them to be careful to the avalanche threats. The Army Chief also met the porters who work tirelessly to maintain the posts at those difficult conditions in Siachen.
