Government e-Marketplace, GeM, Common Service Centre e-governance India Private Limited and Department of Posts today signed an MoU for engagement of last mile buyers, sellers and service providers in public procurement. 

The MoU was signed by CEO, GeM, P K Singh, CEO, Common Service Centre e-governance India Private Limited Sanjay Kumar Rakesh and Chief General Manager, Parcel Directorate, Department of Posts Ajay Kumar Roy in New Delhi.

 Nearly four lakh 50 thousand Common Service Centers and around one lakh 50 thousand Post Offices across the country will be trained to assist last-mile government buyers, sellers and service providers.
 
Speaking on the occasion, CEO GeM P K Singh mentioned that the partnership will leverage and utilize the online and physical infrastructure of Common Service Centres and Post Offices to ensure the inclusion and participation of last mile stakeholders on GeM.
