Absconding former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda today moved the Delhi High Court for anticipatory bail in the Geetika Sharma suicide case. His bail plea was dismissed by a lower court on August 9. The bench asked the registry to list the matter for hearing tomorrow.
Kanda's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the trial court which had said the allegations against him were grave and serious and he may hamper the probe. Kanda has been accused of abetting the suicide of Sharma, an ex-airhostess of his defunct MDLR airline.
A look-out notice had been issued by Delhi Police against the former Haryana minister. 23-year-old Geetika was found hanging in her flat in north west Delhi on August 5.
