Scotching speculation that he may surrender today, absconding former minister Gopal Goyal Kandam moved the Delhi High Court for anticipatory bail in the Geetika suicide case as he evaded arrest for the sixth day. Delhi police drew a blank in tracing him after another round of raids at his premises in Haryana and Delhi.

In his bail plea, which will be heard tomorrow, Kanda said Geetika was hypersensitive and the act of suicide was a handiwork of an unsound mind of a frustrated individual.Kanda has been accused of abetting the suicide of Geetika, an ex-airhostess of his now defunct MDLR airline.
