Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that the GDP growth rate this year will be 7.5 per cent. He hoped that next year the growth would be higher. Speaking at function in London Friday night, Mr. Jaitley claimed that the economy has regained since the new government came to power.The Finance Minister said most of other economies in BRICs are facing challenges, while India is emerging as one of the fastest growing nations. He said the government is correcting aberrations in the taxation structure, concentrating on infrastructure and trying to bring about fairness in the system. Mr Jaitley noted that the elimination of poverty is a major challenge and government is working hard to tackle it.
