The Bihar Assembly on Monday passed a resolution for renaming Gaya international airport as Bhagwan Buddha international airport to mark the 2600th year of attainment of enlightenment of Lord Buddha.Chief Minister Nitish Kumar introduced the resolution in the state Assembly in the post-lunch session.The Chief Minister stressed for development of world-class infrastructure at the Gaya international airport with the air service being a preferred mode of journey by the Buddhist pilgrims who hire chartered flights to visit Mahabodhi temple and other Buddhist pilgrimage sites.
