Former Indian skipper and legendary opener, Sunil Gavaskar has said that team India led by M.S.Dhoni is in great form and can be expected to perform even better in the upcoming tournaments.He said that it is a balanced side with a blend of youth and experience and the manner in which they blanked out the Australian team in the test series with newcomers speaks volumes about the zest and fighting spirit. Gavasakar was addressing a function in Dubai on Sunday where he was felicitated with the Life ttime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket.The event was organized by All Kerala Medical Graduates ,Dubai chapter.Gavaskar complemented the role of International Cricket Council in promoting the game of cricket be its management, the tournaments, the umpiring and maintaining the decency and dignity of the game of cricket. He said that the times are changing and so is the game of cricket with its various formats which has produced so many rising stars.He advised the youngsters to pursue their dreams in the world of sports be it cricket or any other game with a passion without compromisiuing on the education. Gavaskar said that it is required to have a razor sharp mind to analyse the nuiances of the game and studies help a lot to fine tune the abilities to perform. At his eloquent best, the famous Indian Little Master recalled many of his feats as he attributed his success to his parents and the guidance from stalwarts of cricket from yesteryears.
