Gas connection to be provided in every household of UP: Dharmendra Pradhan

The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that gas connection in every household of Uttar Pradesh will be provided in next two years. Addressing in Gas distribution programme under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Gauriganj in Amethi today. <br/><br/>Union state Petroleum Minister Mr Pradhan said, 90 lakh LPG connections have been issued so far under the Ujjawala Yojana which started from 1st May in Ballia district of state. On this occasion he distributed one thousand LPG connection to BPL families.<br/><br/>Addressing the gathering Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that Ujjawala Yojana has proven boon for the women belong to families of below poverty line. He said they have no longer has to suffer from smoke stove (chullha). <br/><br/>Speaking on this occasion Union textile Minister Smriti Zubin Irani underlined that by providing clean fuel government has taken one step forward in the direction of women empowerment.<br/><br/>Earlier at Jais in Amethi Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar, Dharmendra Pradhan and Smriti Irnai jointly inaugurated permanent campus of Rajeev Gandhi Petroleum Institute. <br/><br/>The Institute was opened in 2008 .Union Minister Dharmnedra Pradhan said that within two years the NDA government has provided 302 crore rupees to the institute to complete the project. Prakash Javadekar alleged that congress has no interest in the development of Amethi.
