In Meghalaya, Five coal labourers were killed and one was injured in a pre-dawn attack by the Garo National Liberation Army militants in South Garo Hills district. Police said a group of seven to nine armed GNLA ultras fired indiscriminately killing the labourers at Gokha coal dumping area in South Garo Hills district. They were employed by a private firm which exports coal from South Garo Hills district to Bangladesh. Security forces have rushed to the spot and a combing operation has been launched to nab the militants.
