Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly today ruled out retiring from competitive cricket and said he is still hoping to play in the Indian Premier League if an opportunity came his way in the future. A day after speculation about his retirement from all forms of cricket did the rounds, he said it was a case of misunderstanding and he was "shocked and disappointed" to see how his comments were misinterpreted by the media. An interview to a television channel yesterday triggered speculation about Ganguly's retirement from all forms of the game.
