In Uttarakhand, Gangotree national highway has been blocked due to landslides near Bhatvaree in Uttarkashi District today. According to District Magistrate Saurabh Jain, landslide happened due to heavy rain which occurred in last two-three days. Meanwhile, pilgrims were stranded at various places. Personnel of Border Road Organisation and PWD workers are engaged in clearing the road.
