In Uttar Pradesh, major rivers are flowing again above the danger mark in three places because of moderate to heavy rainfall in last few days. Ganga and Ghaghra rivers crossed the danger level at many places. The river Ghaghra and Saryu are flowing above the danger mark in Gonda district while Ganga is about 60 centimetres above the danger level in Ballia. People living in low lying areas in Mohammadabad Tehsil of Ghazipur district has been shifted to safer places where Ganga is on rise. According to state relief commissioner, many parts of eastern UP and some areas of westrn UP have recorded moderate to heavy rain in last thirty six hours.
