In Uttar Pradesh, Ganga and Ghaghra rivers have again crossed the danger level at many places due to heavy rain in their catchments. The river Ghaghra and Saryu are flowing above the danger mark in Gonda district while Ganga is about 60 centimetres above the danger level in Ballia. The nearby population in Mohammadabad Tehsil of Ghazipur district has been shifted to safer places where Ganga is on rise.
