The Allahabad High Court today allowed the Varanasi administration for installation of sound system at Dashaswamed Ghat for Ganga Aarti programme during forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shizo Abe. Both the Prime ministers will be visiting Varanasi on Saturday for a short visit. Today, the High Court bench comprising Chief justice D.Y Chandrachud and Justice Dilip Gupta heard the plea of District Administration for permission for installation of sound system at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and allowed the administration for the same. During hearing, the court also allowed use of sound system at the Dashashwamedh Ghat for other days also.<br/><br/>On behalf of Administration, state government chief standing counsel Ramesh Upadhya informed the court about the forthcoming programmes and necessity of installation of sound system at the ghat. The chief standing counsel told the court that soon, state will submit detailed affidavit for permission of installation of sound system for ganga arti at other ghats too.<br/><br/>The District administration had approached the high court because as per the High court order, any construction or destruction is banned within two hundred meters of the Varanasi ghat.<br/><br/>
