Ganeshwari Express accident toll goes up to 148

The death toll in Ganeshwari Express accident in West Midnapore district of West Bengal has risen to 148. <br/> <br/>Divisional Railway Manager Kharagpur Anil Handa told reporters that 145 bodies have been brought to Midnapur Medical College hospital and post mortem has been completed of all the bodies. <br/> <br/>Medical Superintendent Dr Partha Pratim Pradhan said that 86 bodies have been identified and handed over to the relatives. <br/> <br/>20 applications have been received for DNA test and 25 torso bodies are yet to be identified. <br/> <br/>More than 100 passengers are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. <br/> <br/>Relief and rescue operations have been completed. Railway spokesman of Kharagpur division told that train services have been restored from Sunday morning in Kharagpur – Tata section after reparing of the track at Khemasuli. <br/> <br/>He also added that the train services will remain suspended between 10 pm and 5 am in Maoist affected area of West Bengal and Orissa till further order. Few trains have also been rescheduled in this section.<br/><br/>
