BJP Lok Sabha member Ganesh Singh has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Joint Committee of Parliament examining the land acquisition bill. <br/><br/>Mr Singh who was already in the the panel, replaces S S Ahluwalia who became Minister of the State for Parliamentary Affairs during reshuffle of the council of ministers on 5th of this month. <br/><br/>Mr Singh today moved a resolution in the Lok Sabha seeking the extension of the term of the panel till the last day of the Winter session. <br/><br/>The resolution was passed by a voice vote amid noisy scene over the issue of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann's videography of the Parliament complex.
