Gandhi's message of peace set to resonate Arab World

Mahatma Gandhi's immortal message for peace will resonate in the Arab World later this week through an exhibition and a seminar on his life being held in Egyptian capital Cairo. The events will be kicked off on Sunday with Amre Moussa, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, inaugurating an exhibition depicting various aspects of the life of the Father of the Nation. The exhibition, that will include photos and teachings of the apostle of peace, will be held at the Arab League Headquarters in coordination with the Indian Embassy in Cairo. A Seminar — 'Gandhi's Philosophy and its Relation with the Contemporary Life' — will be held alongside the exhibition where Moussa will deliver a speech on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Indian Ambassador Ramchandran Swaminathan will also attend. The UN has declared October 2, Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, as 'International Day of Non-Violence'.
