<span style="color: #222222;">Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore today said that a games period will be made mandatory in schools by next year. </span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">He said, the Ministry of Education is ensuring that the syllabus is reduced by 50 per cent by next year. </span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said, the ministry is planning several things to make sports more relevant. Mr. Rathore said he is ensuring that Sports Authority of India (now SI) reduces its manpower by 50 per cent by 2022 so that they can cater to sports and it has a lean body and money is spent on sports. </span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">He said this year the government will have 20 specialised sports schools and will pump about seven to 10 crore rupees each. </span><br />”
