Gambhir hits fighting century against Sri Lanka

In the Ahmedabad Test, India were 252 for 3 wickets in their second innings against Sri Lanka on the final day today. G Gambhir 103 and Sachin Tendulkar 20 were at the crease. For India, Virender Shehwag scored 51, Rahul Dravid made 38 runs and Amit Mishra 24 runs. India trail by 82 runs. For the visitors, Welegedra, Herath and Mathews took one wicket each. Earlier, Sri Lanka declared their first innings at 760 for seven, securing a lead of 334 runs. Mahela Jayawardana played a classic innings of 275 runs, followed by Prasanna Jayawardana who made 154 runs and remained unbeaten.
