Galle Test: India in commanding position as Sri Lanka lost 5 wickets

Team India is in a commanding position in the Galle Cricket Test as Sri Lanka have lost 5 wickets and still need 84 runs to avoid an innings defeat. After resuming play on Day 3 today at the overnight score of 5 for 2, the hosts lost Dhammika Prasad on the first ball. Veteran wicket keeper-batsman Kumara Sangakkara, playing his penultimate Test, and Skipper Angelo Mathews resisted before Spinner R. Ashwin broke the partnership to bag his 8th wicket of the game. Sangakkara made 40, while Mathews was out for 39. The hosts 108 for 5 at lunch. Yesterday, Team India had posted 375 in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings score of 183, taking a lead of 192 runs.
