Galle Test, Day-2: India to resume its 1st innings at overnight score of 128/2 against Sri Lanka

In reply to Sri Lanka's 183, Team India will resume its first innings at the overnight score of 128 for 2 on Day 2 of the Galle Cricket Test today. Atr stumps yesterday, Shikhar Dhawan on 53 and Skipper Virat Kohli on 45 were at the crease, with India trailing by 55 runs. Opener Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma were the two wickets that fell.Earlier, spinner R. Ashwin registered his best away bowling figures of 6 for 46 as the hosts were bundled out for 183 after opting to bat first. Skipper Angelo Mathews top scored with 64, while Dinesh Chandimal made 59. Veteran wicket keeper-batsman Kumara Sangakkara, who is playing his penultimate Test, could only make 5.This is the opening Test of the 3-match series, and Sangakkara will retire after the second game which will be played in Colombo from the 20th of this month.
