Galle Test: Ashwin's 6 wickets haul put India in driver's seat on day 1; Sri Lanka all out for 183 in 1st innings

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's best overseas figures of 6 for 46 in 13.4 overs helped India gain the upper hand in the first Cricket Test against Sri Lanka at Galle on the opening day today. India dismissed the hosts for a paltry 183 runs in the first innings. At stumps, India looked in command as they reached 128 for two in reply. Shikhar Dhawan on 53 and skipper Virat Kohli on 45 were at the crease. India are now only 55 runs short of Sri Lanka's first innings total.
