Col Gaddafi's son and his likely successor Saif al-Islam has appeared in Tripoli, a day after the International Criminal Court confirmed rebel claims that he has been captured. He told journalists at a Tripoli Hotel that the government forces were fighting back against rebel advance into the city. He said, they have broken their back bone after luring them into a trap. He also insisted that Col Gaddafi was safe in Tripoli. Saif said, the people of Libya are with him and they are going to win. Another son of Col Gaddafi, Muhammed is reported to have escaped from detention. Meanwhile, in parts of Tripoli, rebel forces are in control after their advance over the weekend, but many casualties have been reported as pro-Gaddafi forces are fighting back, attacking rebels' supply lines.
