The Government of Algeria has confirmed that Col. Gaddafi's wife Safia, daughter Ayesha and sons Muhammad and Hannibal have entered the country. The Foreign Ministry in Algiers said the four had crossed the border from Libya. Algeria's UN Ambassador said they were received on humanitarian grounds. Libya's rebels said sheltering Gaddafi family members was an act of aggression, and called for their extradition. Col Gaddafi's whereabouts are unknown.
