US today acknowledged that the option of use of military force against the Libyan leader Mommar Gaddafi is a very difficult decision to make for many reasons. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that none of the countries with whom she has consulted put the war option at the top of the list. She said, there is not enough information to know exactly what is happening on the ground in Libya. Hillary Clinton, however said, Gaddafi is increasingly losing control over his country and appears to be in control only of a small part of the capital Tripoli. She however said, Gaddafi still has allies who are not yet turning against him, and Washington is trying to send very clear messages. Clinton told BBC that US and its international partners are looking at all forms of action and nothing is off the table.Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said that he will not condemn Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi and warned that the United States is preparing an invasion of the North African country. Chavez said yesterdayin a televised speech that a campaign of lies is being spun together regarding Libya. He alleged that the US government is behind the campaign. Chavez slammed the United States for moving naval and air forces closer to Libya amid active international discussions about imposing a no-fly zone over the country. Meanwhile, UN chief Ban Ki-moon has said that the Muammar Gaddafi regime in Libya has lost its legitimacy to rule as it has declared war on its own people. Ban urged all Member States of the United Nations to act decisively in the General Assembly tomorrow to discuss a request to suspend Libya's membership in the UN human Rights Council.
