Bhartiya Janta Party Parliamentary Board meeting is being held New Delhi this afternoon. It is expected that name of Mr. Nitin Gadakari will be announced as next President of the party in the meeting. He will be replacing Mr. Rajnath Singh who has completed his tenure. Senior office bearers of the party are also meeting this evening at party headquarter to discuss the several organisational issues. <br/><br/>The BJP leader, Mrs Sushma Swaraj earlier has been appointed as the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, while veteran party leader Mr. L.K. Advani is now the Chairman of the party's Parliamentary Board. This was announced at a press conference last eveing by the party President, Mr. Rajnath Singh after the meeting of the Parliamentary Board. Mr. Singh said that the Board had amended the party's constitution to create the new post of the Chairman on Wednesday. Mr. Advani said he feels both relieved and satisfied and will continue to serve the party in his new role.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that after elevation of Sushma Swaraj as leader of the opposition, the post of deputy leader in Lok Sabha has fallen vacant and lobbying for the post has begun in the party. Similarly, after resignation of Mr. Jaswant Singh as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, the most prestigious parliamentary committee names of several senior party MPs are under consideration.
