Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with leaders of China, Brazil and South Africa among others on the sidelines of the G20 summit at Hamburg. In a series of tweets, Prime Minister said the role of BRICS is important on issues like climate change and terror. He underlined the need for BRICS to be a voice of stability, reform, progress and governance at the world stage.<br/><br/>Official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Gopal Baglay informed that at the BRICS leaders informal gathering hosted by China, Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President, Xi Jinping had a conversation on a range of issues. Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel formally welcomed Mr Modi at the G20 summit.
