Dr Manomohan Singh would have a series of bilateral meetings on the side-lines of the G-20 Summit including his British and Canadian counterparts.
Briefing newsmen Foreign Secretary Mr Ranjan Mathai said the prime minister during his meeting with the newly elected French president Francois Hollande will seek to confirm the substantive relationship built between the two countries in the recent years.
Expressing serious concern on the deep economic trouble the world is facing, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh hoped that the G-20 Summit will come up with constructive proposals to get the global economy out of the crisis.
Dr. Singh was addressing the media, after his arrival at Los Cabos, Mexico to attend the G-20 Summit. He described the grouping as one which deals with international economic cooperation.
The two day conclave which begins on Monday night has been overshadowed by the debt crisis in Eurozone and the meltdown in growth in different parts of the world. All India Radio correspondent covering the summit reports that leaders of the group have begun arriving to attend the summit.
Dr. Manmohan Singh will host a meeting of BRICS leaders and exchange views on the agenda of the summit. Dr Singh will have bilateral talks with Mexican President Felipe Caledron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
He will also be meeting his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Britain David Cameron and Russian President Vladamir Putin.

Meanwhile, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia has said leaders of G-20 countries participating in the Las Cabos Summit will primarily discuss on action plan to get the global economy back on a growth trajectory.
