The second meeting of the G-20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group (DRRWG) is underway in Mumbai. More than 120 delegates from G20 member countries, invited nations, international organizations, and important Indian key stakeholders are deliberating on various aspects of Financing Disaster Risk Reduction. Technical sessions covering topics such as Financing Early Warning and Early Action, Financing Resilient Infrastructure, building back better, Ecosystem-Based Approaches and the Role of Community in DRR are the focus of these discussions. On the side-lines, a session on 'Ecosystem based Approaches and Role of Community' has been organised today.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">During the technical sessions, the G20 countries discussed the roadmap for DRRWG for the next three years. The Indian Presidency has expressed it belief in instilling ownership among the troika countries and South Africa to carry the initiative forward with the hope that disaster risk reduction will be mainstreamed in the policy space, and that financing instruments and mechanisms for DRR will help shift the paradigm from disaster response to anticipatory action and risk reduction.</span><br />
