<br/>The group of eight developed nations has called upon all countries, particularly those possessing nuclear weapons, to join disarmament efforts to promote global stability and undiminished security. In a joint declaration after hectic deliberations in Toronto today, the G-8 countries said the group is committed to a safer world for all and to create conditions for a world without nuclear weapons, in accordance with the goals of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.<br/> Welcoming the resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan, the G-8 countries appealed to all nations in the region to work together actively in the interests of regional peace and stability. <br/>
