G-20 Summit will begin this afternoon at Brisbane in Australia. Top leaders of 19 advanced and emerging economies of the world and Head of European Union are in the city to attend the event. AIR correspondent reports that sustained increase of at least 2 per cent global GDP growth rate, phased reduction in charges on remittances, energy security, climate change, reforms in international financial institutions and efforts to check the Ebola virus disease are on the agenda of the summit.

Ahead of the Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an informal meeting with the leaders of BRICS countries called for close co-ordination on unaccounted money kept abroad. Addressing the BRICS leaders, Prime Minister said that we can promote new model of governance and highest banking standards.
