The Labour Ministers from G-20 countries have stressed on the need for creation of new jobs and preservation of the existing ones. In the first-ever meeting of Labor Ministers from G-20 countries which began in Washington today, they said the working class across the globe are among most hit by the current global economic crisis, therfore, continued attention should be paid to job creation and job preservation. They said vigorous implementation of existing policies and consideration for additional employment measures should also be taken.The Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge is representing India in the two-day meeting. The G-20 Labour Ministers, are scheduled to meet US President Barack Obama at the White House today. The, United States Labour Secretary. Hilda L Solis had earlier said, that the main objective of the meeting is to prepare a set of recommendations for measures that countries should consider to tackle the job crisis.
