The Future Plan of Action aiming at the 2020 Olympics and the Rio Olympic Games, 2016 has been initiated. The intermediate milestones of Asian Games 2014 and 2019 are also in focus. Giving this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Sports Minister Jitendra Singh said the probable athletes and teams have already begun an intensive training. The allocation for the sports disciplines under focus has substantially been enhanced in the 2013-14 Budget. Mr Singh said, junior sportspersons are being given special attentio.
