Ace golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has said the Indian golf is headedtowards a bright future but stressed on the need to have public courses readilyavailable to the masses. Speaking on the sidelines of Habitat India charitygolf tournament, organised to raise funds for widows of farmers in Maharashtra,Jeev said it is great to see young kids playing the game with enthusiasm.
He said they have got a good mind, they are strongmentally to take on the world and play with the best players. Citing theexamples of Shubhakar Sharma, Anirban Lahiri, Chirag Kumar and Shiv Kapur, hesaid they have proven that. Last year saw six professional wins for thecountry's golfers. Four of them were on the Asian Tour and two of themco-sanctioned by Europe and another by Japan.
