Fundamentals of economy continue to be strong: Finance Minister

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said the fundamentals of the national economy continue to be strong in Government's view. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in New Delhi this evening, Mr Jaitley said, India has remained world's fastest growing large economy for the last three years. He said, structural reforms have short-term impacts but it helps in the medium and long-term. He said, government has decided on the steps necessary to sustain the growth momentum. <br/><br/>Secretary Department of Economic Affairs S C Garg said, the Current Account Deficit is very low level. He said, there has been a consistent low inflation story. He said, real GDP growth average is 7.5 per cent in last 3 years. <br/><br/>He said, transformational reforms have been another part of India's growth story. <br/><br/>Mr Garg expressed confidence that disinvestment target for this year will exceed.
