The Centre has said, it is fully prepared to tackle the spurt in dengue cases in various parts of the country. Union Health Minister J P Nadda is personally reviewing the status of Dengue. <br/><br/>An official release yesterday said, various meetings were held with the Directors of Central government hospitals, municipal bodies and Delhi Government officials to review the situation and preparedness to contain the disease. <br/><br/>As compared to 2014, more cases have been reported this year but the casualties are comparatively less this time. Health Secretary B P Sharma has written to Urban Development Ministry seeking access to several unoccupied buildings and rooftops for checking breeding of mosquitoes. <br/><br/>He also asked the Central Public Work Departments to undertake special measures for vector control at construction sites. He informed that Central teams have visited high endemic states to provide technical guidance to put a check on dengue cases.
