The world famous holy cave shrine of Vaishnodevi will now have a full-fledged master plan to ensure planned infrastructural development.Additional Chief Executive Officer Dr M K Bhandari has said that Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has invited expression of interest from suitable and reputed area planning organizations in this direction. The official apprised there has been huge infrastructural work in and around the Cave Shrine and enroute the shrine with hundreds of buildings setup throughout the track that is resulting in the pressure on ecology. He added that the recent plan would ensure maintenance of environment, ecology and planned infrastructural development in and around the shrine.He apprised that the Board as per the directions of its chairman, the Governor Sh. N N Vohra has commissioned a solar power plant at the holy shrine and solar power based water heating plant at Katra. He said that a good deal of forest plants and 1000 flowering plants are being planted in the yatra area during the current rainy season to beautify the track to the shrine.
