The full Election Commission will visit Bihar today to review the poll preparations. The state will witness six-phased Assembly polls from 21st of this month. Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi and Election Commissioners V S Sampath and H S Brahma will visit the state for two days and hold discussions with senior civil and police officials, besides meeting the representatives of political parties. Elections in the state would be held on 21st, 24th and 28th of October, and on November 1st, 9th and 20th. AIR correspondent reports that 623 candidates are in the fray for the second phase of election in the state. Filing of nomination process for the third phase of election has been completed. Scrutiny of nomination process for this phase will be done today. Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers for this phase till Thursday.
