Full dress rehearsal of R-Day held in New Delhi

The Full Dress Rehearsal of the Republic Day parade was held in New Delhi today amidst tight security. Thirteen tableaus from different states and ten tableaus of various Ministries and Department showcased the country's vibrant cultural heritage, and its impressive achievement. Covering a distance of 8 KM, the parade started from Vijay Chowk and passed through Rajpath, Tilak Marg to reach Red Fort. AIR correspondent reports that the full Day Rehersal held in the national capital provided a preview of country's cultural diversity, economic growth and military might. The tableaux will show case a view of the country's vibrant culture in which tableue of Rabindranath Tagore, Lord Buddha,, Tripura's Kharchi festival,Punjab's Mehandi ceremony and Bihar's Maner Sherif will be the focus of attraction. Armed forces and paramilitary forces marching to the tunes of bands and the country's modern weaponry including Tejas, Brahmos Launcher System, T-90 tanks, multi-barrel rocket system 'Pinaka will be displayed during the Republic day Parade.
