Fuel tanker sinking in English Channel

A fuel tanker is sinking in the English Channel after colliding with a container ship but its crew members have been safely evacuated. Reports say the YM Uranus was carrying a cargo of heavy Pygas, a type of gasoline, when it hit a Panamanian bulk container 160 km off the Brittany coast. The ship's Glasgow-based operator said, a French helicopter evacuated the crew to a military base south of Brest. There are no immediate reports of pollution in the Channel.
